The sun is shining, the thermometer is rising and the range of fun and cultural activities is growing by the day. To help you prepare for your city-trip, here are a few ideas for summer outings.
1. 🌿 Come-back Voyage à Nantes
The flagship artistic event of the summer returns from 28 July to 31 August! Follow the Green Line through the city and discover ephemeral works, urban hijackings and curiosities of all kinds. A fun and inspiring route to explore on foot or by bike, to rediscover Nantes in a different way, under the theme of strangeness… every year, the Voyage surprises and amazes young and old alike.
2. 🏰 Excursion to the Château de la Frémoire
In the mood for a bucolic stroll? Head for Vertou and the Château de la FrĂ©moire, in the heart of the vineyards and on the banks of the Sèvre. The setting is idyllic, perfect for a nature break… with a touch of originality: crossing the riverbank won’t leave you indifferent.
3.🏰 Les Interdits du Château des Ducs – Exhibition Hokusai
Poussez les portes interdites du célèbre Château des Ducs de Bretagne ! À partir du 15 juin, partez à la découverte de lieux habituellement fermés au public lors de visites guidées insolites : couloirs cachés, souterrains, passages oubliés…Une sortie pour les passionnés d’histoire… et les amateurs de panoramas !
4. 🚣🏿Nantes river side
For an outing in the fresh air, and a light breeze for a little gentleness: embark on a river cruise departing from the city centre. On the Erdre or the Loire, let yourself be carried away between nature and heritage: châteaux, old Nantes follies, marshes and diversity… another facet of the region is revealed as the water flows by. Perfect for families and lovers in search of peace and quiet.
5. 🖼️ The Hokusai exhibition : from June 28
An exceptional cultural event: an exhibition devoted entirely to the Japanese artist Hokusai in Nantes from 28 June to 7 September 2025 Over 150 works, including some 40 paintings. Most of the works on loan have never before left Japan.
